A Day at the ZOO

The travel continues..We are having a blast. We pulled out of Lincoln State Park late Tuesday after walking the grounds and touring the Lincoln boyhood memorial (neat place). This is a great state park. Over 100 great camping sites (we decided none were bad choices) there were only three campers (mid week camping is great). Our campsite was by the lake with great views. We awoke with coffee, breakfast and packed our lunch. Loaded the stroller with Jessie and a picnic, and set out for a day of adventure.. After visiting the outdoor amphitheater and beach, we decided we had seen all there was to see and decided to roll on.
We headed to Jasper IN to see the family. First stop...Grandma's work for a few hugs an kisses, then home to grab G-daddy for some grub. (Chicken place here we come). After letting Jessie stretch her legs with some non-moving floor time, we headed to Aunt Marie and Uncle Glen's for some extra love time. We get to see the rest of the family this weekend at Logan, Brooke and Chase's 2nd Birthday Party in Indianapolis.
We left out early Wednesday morning with Grandma Jo aboard, and off the the Saint Louis Zoo.
Jessie had a great time at the Zoo. She had a small nap on the way there, but otherwise was so excited about all the kids and critters, she ended her day at the zoo by falling asleep in daddy's arms from pure exhaustion. But we couldn't leave the Zoo without hitting the gift shop for a critter of her own. Jessie now owns a Lemur monkey.
Our hot dog from the Zoo hadn't filled us up, so Grandma Jo found this great place called "AMERICANS INCREDIBLE PIZZA COMPANY"...WOW! neat place. $7 per person (Jessie FREE) and its all the pizza, salad, soup, potato and dessert you can eat...and games. this isn't chuckie cheese. these are some of the coolest games. VERY VERY clean and loads of games, bumper cars, race track, indoor black light put-put. You get to choose the room you want to sit in (ie. the family room(fireplace and classic family shows), theater room( looks like a drive in theater playing a movie on a big screen), High school gymnasium (playing sponge bob, blues clues, veggie tales on a big screen), or the dinner (looks like a dinner from the fifties). If you ever get this way and have kids this is a "must do" stop.
Well we camped down town in Saint Louis last night (a parking lot with hook-ups) but you can see the arch from out our window. today is suppose to rain so we are going to the magic house, children's science museum, and possibly the butterfly house. We really do not know, we just know the fun must continue. We will see everyone soon and love you.
