Four Years Later!!!

May 1st, Janet and I celebrated our 4th year wedding anniversary. We consider our lives very blessed by everything that we have achieved and now the addition of Jessie into our lives. Priorities definately change, but for the better. Instead of buying something for ourselves we purchased a trailer for Jessie to ride in on bike rides. Chattanooga has a wonderful greenway that goes from chickamauga dam to downtown. It is about 8 miles one way. We spent the afternoon in chattanooga on the greenway with Jessie and our Tandem Recumbent bicycle. We had a blast and so did Jessie. We spent about 4 hours on the bike and Jessie hung in there like a trooper. We gave her a sippy cup and some cookies and she was set for the day. We then had supper at a wonderful restaurant for our anniversary. We actually got our picture taken and we were in the Chattanooga times free press that sunday. I will try and scan the picture in and post it sometime. God bless and Good Day.

A Day at the ZOO

The travel continues..We are having a blast. We pulled out of Lincoln State Park late Tuesday after walking the grounds and touring the Lincoln boyhood memorial (neat place). This is a great state park. Over 100 great camping sites (we decided none were bad choices) there were only three campers (mid week camping is great). Our campsite was by the lake with great views. We awoke with coffee, breakfast and packed our lunch. Loaded the stroller with Jessie and a picnic, and set out for a day of adventure.. After visiting the outdoor amphitheater and beach, we decided we had seen all there was to see and decided to roll on.
We headed to Jasper IN to see the family. First stop...Grandma's work for a few hugs an kisses, then home to grab G-daddy for some grub. (Chicken place here we come). After letting Jessie stretch her legs with some non-moving floor time, we headed to Aunt Marie and Uncle Glen's for some extra love time. We get to see the rest of the family this weekend at Logan, Brooke and Chase's 2nd Birthday Party in Indianapolis.
We left out early Wednesday morning with Grandma Jo aboard, and off the the Saint Louis Zoo.
Jessie had a great time at the Zoo. She had a small nap on the way there, but otherwise was so excited about all the kids and critters, she ended her day at the zoo by falling asleep in daddy's arms from pure exhaustion. But we couldn't leave the Zoo without hitting the gift shop for a critter of her own. Jessie now owns a Lemur monkey.
Our hot dog from the Zoo hadn't filled us up, so Grandma Jo found this great place called "AMERICANS INCREDIBLE PIZZA COMPANY"...WOW! neat place. $7 per person (Jessie FREE) and its all the pizza, salad, soup, potato and dessert you can eat...and games. this isn't chuckie cheese. these are some of the coolest games. VERY VERY clean and loads of games, bumper cars, race track, indoor black light put-put. You get to choose the room you want to sit in (ie. the family room(fireplace and classic family shows), theater room( looks like a drive in theater playing a movie on a big screen), High school gymnasium (playing sponge bob, blues clues, veggie tales on a big screen), or the dinner (looks like a dinner from the fifties). If you ever get this way and have kids this is a "must do" stop.
Well we camped down town in Saint Louis last night (a parking lot with hook-ups) but you can see the arch from out our window. today is suppose to rain so we are going to the magic house, children's science museum, and possibly the butterfly house. We really do not know, we just know the fun must continue. We will see everyone soon and love you.

On the Road Again

We took a week off for a break from our busy lives to enjoy each other and Spend some greatly needed time with Jessie. So we borrowed mom and dads RV, loaded our stuff and filled the tank with gas and grabbed a map. Seven days of freedom on the open road. Our first night we ended up in northern Land Between the Lakes. A beautiful place, but a rough day of big wind and the warm weather seemed to stop once we left Tennessee. We visited the homeplace where Jessie got to see her first horse, some ducks, oxen, chickens, buffalo, elk and pigs. After the tour we headed for the camp ground for dinner and a good nights sleep. Our goal for today was to spend some time out of the RV and enjoy the beautiful day we were given so we unplugged the RV and headed for Pennyrile State Park for hopefully a great playground and some hiking trails or a scenic picnic area. We found the playground, but with no swing, played for a short while and decided to head out for Lincoln state park in IN. We plan on spending the day here tomorrow and then heading off to St. Louis for the ZOO on Wednesday. Jessie did receive her first semi black eye. While Chad and i were busy getting the RV settled in, she made her way out the door and down the steps with a graceful "kurplat" onto the ground outside. She is doing fine, but in case you are wondering, Chad and I do have some emotional damage. Our final destination for the week is Indianapolis for the triplets second birthday. but until then...we are just driving!

Rainy Day Fun

As a kid on hot summer days, I spent plenty of time making my own cool oasis with the central air conditioning unit. With a king size sheet and a few world encyclopedia books, I could shape and create my own space to play (as long as the air was flowing. When it cut off you either bailed quickly or just laid still for a few minutes to wait for the flow to begin again). Well today the weather outside was cool and rainy so we decided to pass on an old favorite with Jessie. Our central unit doesn't blow hard enough to give us the lift we wanted to create so we recruited a fan instead, only I had to play guard to keep little fingers all in tack. Jessie played for hours in her new and exciting "Tent City".

Swingin

All Smiles

Super star

Oh how Behind we are!!

First I would like to apologize for not responding soon enough. Janet just looked at me today and asked me what month it was. When I said April, she said what happened to March. I feel the same way. Jessie much like you know is growing up. We are already hit some milestones. She is able to take a few steps on her own, feed herself, crawls very well, has a growing vocabulary, and loves the outdoors. We have purchased her a swing and she loves it. It is hard to believe she is almost a year old. Our life is starting to get a normalcy with revolving around Jessie's schedule. We take her every where we go and try to let her experience all she wants to. She is starting to get teeth. She currently has 5 to date and expecting more shortly. We have battled a small bit of "winter crud" with her but all is good now. We have a very busy april and our anniversary is coming up. We have a few trips planned for the year but as of now most things are very tentative. Hope all is well with everyone and we will try to do better to update the blog.

Where Was January!

Where do I start! January was just a blur. Well, it started out with Christmas. The holidays are always a buzz with traveling and all. I will try and make a slideshow with some pics this week. Then January came...... and went. Janet and I are part owners in a local health club here. We completely revamped the gym portion of it with new paint, equipment, countertops, flooring...etc. Extreme makeover Gym Edition. Ty Pennington eat your heart out. There were many night of 2am and then having to go to work. We are not completely through but a very good start. check out www.massappealfitness.com With the equipment arriving we were a half a semi load short on equipment. So The next weekend we made a quick trip to Jacksonville, FL for the rest of the equipment. We got to have coffee oceanfront and get one good meal of Seafood while we were there. The following wednesday we were off to my brothers house for 4 days. Check out www.schnarrblessings.blogspot.com My Brother and his wife are building a new house and we went up to help him finish part of his house. We set cabinets, hung doors, trimmed, laid tile, etc. Once again, Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Ty would be proud. I feel we got a very good start for him. Jessie got to play in the snow. She enjoyed herself. Jessie is a great traveler. She hung with us the whole time. Jessie has traveled through 5 states in 6 days. I know I need to post a bunch of pic. I am going to hope and get to those this week sometime.
Until next time.
